Methodology
How we review GLP-1 providers
Last updated: May 2026
Every GLP-1 telehealth provider we cover is scored on the same five criteria. Each criterion is weighted equally and rated on a 0–10 scale; the average becomes the provider’s overall rating.
The five criteria
Criterion 1
Pricing transparency
We score how clearly the provider lists prices, whether all-in costs are disclosed before checkout, and whether there are hidden membership fees. Programs that hide pricing behind a quiz lose points.
Criterion 2
Medical oversight
Are licensed physicians, NPs, or PAs reviewing every intake? Are check-ins required? Is there meaningful follow-up after the first prescription? We verify license claims against state medical boards.
Criterion 3
Medication options
Do they offer brand-name FDA-approved drugs, compounded formulations, or both? Is the compounding pharmacy LegitScript-certified and 503A-licensed? Can patients switch between options without re-intake?
Criterion 4
Fulfillment & shipping
Cold-chain integrity, average delivery time, packaging quality, and tracking. We mystery-shop every provider and inspect the actual delivery.
Criterion 5
Patient support
Response time on questions, support channel quality (chat, message, phone), portal usability, and handling of issues like delayed shipments or side effects.
What we don’t consider
Affiliate commission rates, paid placements, advertiser pressure, or sponsorships. No provider can pay to be ranked higher.
Update cadence
Every provider review is checked at least once per month for pricing changes, medication availability, and safety alerts. Major changes trigger an immediate re-score.
